Formula 49 is for Laminitis (Founder). The best time to start feeding Formula 49 on a founder case is the moment you find out about it. Founder cases can also be caused by bad feed, too much feed, over working, etc..... and can be caused by anything that damages the thyroid. Formula 49 is designed to go into the system instantly. The time to start feeding it is as soon as symptoms of founder are discovered. Keep Formula 49 on hand. Formula 49 may also be used on older chronic cases.
Feed one well-rounded teaspoon of Lampley’s Formula 49 as often as every half an hour for the first 4 hours straight and then 3 or 4 more times through out the day. Repeat everyday 3 to 4 times a day until all symptoms are gone. In such cases of acute founder, reduce grain to one handful, or none, and feed no other supplements during healing. In all cases of laminitis, new or old, feed a grass or timothy hay. Stop ALL alfalfa hay.
Caught in the early stages, we have seen foundering horses recover in 4 to 5 hours. Older, chronic cases of founder have also responded quite favorably. We have prevented any new cases of laminitis at our farm through proper nutrition and balanced supplementation. We feed Lampley’s A-Z.

Lampley's Horse Sense

Horse Sense is for horses that have any kind of behavior problems. This includes stall walkers, weavers, mean horses, hyper horses, "washy" horses, and horses that have occasional anxieties, etc....

Feed a well rounded teaspoon twice daily. If the horse starts acting normal, or more the way you want, continue feeding one well rounded teaspoon twice daily for another two weeks. Then reduce the amount to one level teaspoon twice daily. After another two weeks if the horse is still normal, give 1/2 teaspoon twice daily for two weeks. Finally, if the horse still appears normal stop supplementing with Horse Sense.

Remember that most above describe nervous disorders and are usually caused by a malfunction of the thyroid. The body can repair it's thyroid when supplied with all the building materials to do the repair work with. Horse Sense consists of vitamins, minerals, enzymes and proteins, needed to repair the thyroid. If you get your horses thyroid fixed, then damage it again with poison wormers, bute, vaccines, pain killers, antibiotics, or any other kind of veterinary drug, he might revert back to his nervous habits .
